Sometimes you want a more compact GUI card, with multiple functions inside. The card could combine buttons, sliders, toogle switches. I would limit the option to 4 entries.
Or as a UI feature (only at the UI side, not on MQTT) you could add this as a group element to group multiple controls into a single one. This can be also useful for grouping cards from multiple device that still belong together. For example a music player control and a light switch.
