Sorry, it's not really an option. Take a look at the bottom of this page:

DirectMusic was dropped from the SDK outright.

Find an SDK with DirectMusic support (Feb 07 has the headers, I noticed), port 
SlimDX
over to it (will involve disabling XA2 entirely and possibly other changes), 
and then
write it up.
