I've used this modified stack template and others may find it useful.

Details:

defaults to docker image edgedb/edgedb:nightly
uses one Aurora instance
uses one ECS container
retained availability zones & Aurora cluster per:
- https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/USER_VPC.WorkingWithRDSInstanceinaVPC.html
did not remove load balancer due to desire to reduce complexity of changes from template provided by edgedb
