Deploy EDGI chatbot v2 #125

Update the slackbot welcome message to include a link to our welcome materials: (@dcwalk posted about this in SC)

Experiment with integrations to have things like (incl. feature requests):

At some point demo thisfor Michelle, maybe we can do something similar for EDGI!

1) the code of conduct and any slack policy 2) the edgi intro survey to gather some information about who you are/what you do/etc. (already written) 3) a sentence with good starter channels and actions (e.g., introduce yourself) 4) a link to the website page with a list of current projects and who is the main contact

Experiment with integrations to have things like:

  • auto-reminders about calls with links based on event calenders
  • tweets/news etc... mentioning EDGI sent to the #coverage channel
  • (and a bunch more possibilities)

This is gonna be for the EDGI slack :) I think we definitely should make sure both slacks benefit!

@patcon what was the final decision for how to track chatbot work?

My sense is that we are going to run the two bots separately? How should this issue be updated to reflect that? (potentially closed?)

@patcon , this looks interesting. Is it a rule based bot or does it use other NLP techniques to answer questions?

Also two cents :moneybag: : it seems like an improved chat bot would be a huge boon for onboarding, and other aspects of EDGI. There are some minimum upgrades incl https://github.com/edgi-govdata-archiving/edgi-hubot-halpy/issues/36 and https://github.com/edgi-govdata-archiving/edgi-hubot-halpy/issues/39 that are time-sensitive and should also be done
