should get rid of start up warning 10-07 12:04:59.940 D/CordovaLog(28470): : Line 0 : event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.

actually the upgrade to jquery >=1.11 is the real fix: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20045162/event-returnvalue-is-deprecated-please-use-the-standard-event-preventdefault
