The Financial Industry Business Ontology (FIBO) defines the sets of things that are of interest in financial business applications and the ways that those things can relate to one another. In this way, FIBO can give meaning to any data (e.g., spreadsheets, relational databases, XML documents) that describe the business of finance.

Description

Revised clients and accounts to link a credit agreement with an account and loosen transaction-related constraints such that the notion of a transaction can be applied to credit agreements generally; revised payments and schedules to clean up the definition and augment the restrictions on payment obligation to include the payee; revised loan core to eliminate the various commitments to pay/re-pay, moving some features to a new loan-specific account concept and revise payment history and schedule to leverage transaction-specific concepts in FBC
