The Financial Industry Business Ontology (FIBO) defines the sets of things that are of interest in financial business applications and the ways that those things can relate to one another. In this way, FIBO can give meaning to any data (e.g., spreadsheets, relational databases, XML documents) that describe the business of finance.
A copy of the template should be made available on the EDMC GitHub site with several parameters filled in. Note that because the copyright year varies from ontology to ontology, we should leave that out of the template but ensure correctness in the individual ontologies.
A policy regarding whose name and details should be included in copyright statements with respect to contributions from non-employees of the EDMC should also be established and go-forward adjustments made as needed.
