The Financial Industry Business Ontology (FIBO) defines the sets of things that are of interest in financial business applications and the ways that those things can relate to one another. In this way, FIBO can give meaning to any data (e.g., spreadsheets, relational databases, XML documents) that describe the business of finance.
FBC-303 - Revise the structure and content of a MIC code to reflect revisions to ISO 10383, including some LEI information, and update codes and municipalities #1842
Restructure the concepts related to publisher, publishing house, financial information publisher, and published financial information to eliminate redundancy and clean up restrictions, including deprecating publishing house, financial information publisher, and published financial information
Move the concept of a market data provider from indicators to publishers in BE and deprecate it in IND
Replace deprecated / moved terms in indicators, securities identification individuals, market data providers, and equity index example individuals
Add data reporting services provider to the markets ontology as a kind of market data provider and reporting party per ESMA regulations
Loosened restrictions (or eliminated them) on some concepts where they were overreaching, on organization, legal person and legal entity
Added a number of new municipalities referenced in the latest MIC codes
Added the new MIC codes, related facilities and exchanges, and related legal entities and LEIs where they were included in the data from ISO
