The Financial Industry Business Ontology (FIBO) defines the sets of things that are of interest in financial business applications and the ways that those things can relate to one another. In this way, FIBO can give meaning to any data (e.g., spreadsheets, relational databases, XML documents) that describe the business of finance.
FND-370 - Replace specification metadata-related annotations with annotations from the Commons Ontology Library in the FIBO Foundations (FND) domain #1857
Eliminated the use of Specification Metadata as the basis for annotations in the FIBO Annotation Vocabulary and deprecated certain annotations in favor of the annotations defined in the Commons Annotation Vocabulary where appropriate
Replaced all declarations and annotations from the Specification Metadata in all other FIBO FND ontologies with annotations from the Commons Annotation Vocabulary
Replaced now deprecated annotations in the FIBO Annotation Vocabulary with annotations from the Commons Annotation Vocabulary where appropriate across all FIBO FND ontologies
Eliminated some references to LCC where such technical debt was unnecessary
