The Financial Industry Business Ontology (FIBO) defines the sets of things that are of interest in financial business applications and the ways that those things can relate to one another. In this way, FIBO can give meaning to any data (e.g., spreadsheets, relational databases, XML documents) that describe the business of finance.
Added branch and agency of a foreign bank; corrected / added restrictions related to domicile and parthood; revised the definition of isDomiciledIn to allow the domain to be a branch
Refined restrictions to improve on the semantics for certain kinds of entities
Augmented the representation of institutions based on their definitions in the law, and added a number of additional institutions in order to support question answering using the National Information Center (NIC) repository
