A GTIN is a classifier and contextual designator in the context of the IDMP ontology. It "identifies" a class of things rather than a single individual. Thus it should not be modeled as a subclass of identifier but we should preserve the name and definition from the IDMP standard (and reference GS1). This extension is needed to support the manufacturing use case, UC-2.
