Request: Conference calling / three-way calling feature #509

It would be great to see sipdroid support conference calling / three-way
calling.. so that we could dial two numbers via sipdroid and join the calls, or
receive an incoming call (via sipdroid) and then call someone else (via
sipdroid again) and join the calls.

Is this something that is on the cards for the future?

Using PBXes this is already possible (by transferring to a conference room).

Yes, but that's a PBXes feature, not sipdroid. :) I don't use PBXes because of
some limitations (60 min. outgoing call limit, etc.) SipSorcery fits my needs
much better, or at times I just use my provider CallWithUs.

It would be great if, like most SIP clients, sipdroid had this feature
natively. that way, the software would not be dependent on this crutch from
PBXes.

I agree with this opportunity. It needs to be added to sipdroid and not only
being available on PBXes. Currently, there is no way to initiate a conference
call or 3-way call. Will this be implemented soon?
