Hi All! I have a question regarding to MD. When I try to make the words "bold, italicized..." I believe I put the right markdown syntax "word". However, the console keeps showing there is error as shown in the screenshot below

I am copying and pasting exactly the same syntax from Google but it just does not work for me. Could you help me go through what is going on, please? Many thanks!

To answer your question: Markdown doesn't work in the R Console. It's a different sort of thing. That's why you are getting the error --- you've not done anything wrong, it just doesn't compile in that way.

We'll go over in class how to see it converted from the Markdown syntax to the final presentation form.

Thank you so much, Dr. Skinner! I got it and I think I already submitted my assignment. If you did not see my files uploaded, please let me know and I will redo it. Also, do you mind to teach us how to use the label when we posting our issues? I tried last time but failed to do so.
