The "L" goes directly to downtown Evanston and the 147 bus expresses to Howard from Michigan Ave so parking is not a problem or expensive proposition. The 213 Greenbay Rd bus still runs from Davis St, Evanston to Winnetka and the Metra still runs from downtown Chicago to Indian Hills.

Here are some travel times by bus, using Google Maps. Travel times can depend strongly on time of day.

New Trier to Orrington Hotel: 23 minutes New Trier to DoubleTree Hotel, Skokie: 44 to 46 minutes New Trier to Renaissance Chicago North Shore: 56 minutes to 1 hour, 27 minutes

ORD to DoubleTree Hotel Skokie: about an hour ORD to Orrington Hotel: 1 hour, 27 to 38 minutes ORD to Renaissance Chicago North Shore: 1 hour 15-48 minutes
