I added scanlines, they don't look that bad even on top of other stuff that had
it. Still making them default to off, can be turned on gamewide with a "set
_bigbutton_scanlines on" in an intro.txt.
I wanted to ask you pezman, matx sent me:
- brown buttons/crossexam with phoenix, mia, and edgeworth shadows
- a blank brown button without a shadow he labeled as apollo
- a pink button from gk without a shadow
Seems to me there should be an apollo shadow for the brown series, and an
edgeworth shadow for the pink series. Even if the original games didn't have
them. Also, any other shadows we should have added? Maybe a maya one, did
someone make that already?
Otherwise, going to include this with the release.

So wait. Are the "global" scanlines being defaulted to off, or the scanlines on
the button and court background themselves? To be honest, I don't think anyone
will care if you switch things around to respect the global scanlines.

And this is why watching the game
footage(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeLZMto4hGc)...
-and an edgeworth shadow for the pink series
...is important(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10PiVpAusM4)

Ah, didn't read this part when responding above (and felt like keeping those
links in there anyway).

SilentbobX did, though it's pre-lined. Maybe he has a clean one. But that also
sounds like we'd be starting the fanworks section, which I thought we were
going to wait on.
My conclusion is that we work to replace the layering of the assets so they
resemble the games (looking at the video, you'll start to see just how many
things the scanlines on the bottom screen cover). It MAY require some updating
of older cases, but it's not hard, and there just aren't that many of them to
update.

Ok, punting on additional shadows. Adding features without enabling them right
away is the right way to go I think. We can add things without worrying about
compatibility, and then when we DO look at compatibility we can focus on that
issue without worrying about the features. With this issue closed the release
is very close!
