further testing: doesn't happen vice-versa, but I suspect this is because it is not the first time switch. On first time switch (which is modal to docked), the bug is 100% ... like if the publication viewport was ignoring or not detecting the resize (Thorium isn't responsible for the redraw bug, I think this is navigator)
