What are the recommended ways of deploying it anonymously? #139

I am considering running an instance of this bot to track the edits of my country's government. However, I am worried about possible repercussions.

Deploying this on a paid server would provide sufficient information for someone to trace it back to me - this is a risk I want to avoid.

How are others dealing with this? Normally, when you're in a democratic regime this is a non-issue, but sadly this is not the case in my country.

We have an instance of anon running on a server managed at the Wikimedia Foundation. There are some instructions here if you are interested.

That being said, you would need to add the keys for the Twitter account you want to use, which ultimately could be traceable to you. It feels like basically anything that happens online is traceable these days, so please be careful if you are concerned for your safety.

If you want to send me email directly I'm ehs@pobox.com and here's my public key: https://keybase.io/edsu/key.asc
