Obviously not an Issue, but i was curious how the video output of the composite video compares to the real K-1008. I'd imagine it is much more stable.

eduardocasino commented 1 month ago

At least with my monitor and cable, pretty much the same. Are you having image unstability problems with the K-1008?

ryaneroth commented 1 month ago

Yeah it is a pretty unstable image, but my office/work area has an extreme amount of wireless equipment, due to my day job, which I think is the cause.

eduardocasino commented 1 month ago

Are you using an NTSC monitor or some sort of composite to VGA/HDMI converter? Specially the cheap Chinese ones are really crappy.

ryaneroth commented 1 month ago

I'm using a black and white NTSC TV

eduardocasino commented 1 month ago

Then, unless that tv is specially picky with the video sync, it should be fine. What kind of problems are you having?

ryaneroth commented 1 month ago

It is just a very unstable image. I find it very hard to maintain an image that doesn't jump, or wobble.

eduardocasino commented 1 month ago

It seems like a sync problem to me. A noisy environment could cause a noisy image, but I don't think it is the cause of those stability problems. Either there is a problem in the video output circuit of the card or that TV does not like the K-1008 video sync.
