RG-280v Adam Image 2.1. Screen flickers when Emulator starts #347

What happened?

Speaking on behalf of a friend who has a very strange glitch with running any emulator on their build of Adam Image.

To put into context, I helped them from scratch build a fully running Adam Image using v.2.1, the main issue is that no matter what emulator that initially starts a ROM the screen flickers for a few seconds and then runs the game normally. We changed the BIOS files, changed the RetroArch cores, tried a different version of Adam Image (v.1.3) and still has this one issue. I will also mention that they still have their stock OS that came with the Anbernic and this OS doesn't have any of these flickering issues, it runs the games flawlessly, so I know it's not a hardware issue on the device.

We've tried different file types for the PS1 emulator being the most popular playform they want to play on the device with, the types we've used; .chd, .bin/.cue, .ccd/.img/.sub and .pbp and they all have the same issue at the initial loading up of the game. We've disabled the Sony Logo start-up screen and changed which BIOS version was running, all giving the same problem when loading a game. It also happens with NES games too, meaning it can't be a bios issue specifically as the NES emulator doesn't need one.

As previously mentioned we even used the same older version of Adam Image (v.1.3) that's on my device which doesnt have this issue but even running on their device has the same problem so whatever this fault is has to be local to their device running Adam Image

Has anyone else had or still have this issue and what did you do to solve it?

I haven't had this exact issue, but my RG280V will occasionally flicker after closing the retroarch menu or when turning on/off fast forward. Turning off VSync in the retroarch settings seemed to help.
