app kills wifi #425

Since the update to iOS 14.8 the WiFi gets killed when trying to connect to VPN. The 14.8 update could be a coincidence and unrelated!

  1. Connect to VPN (toggle button on)
  2. WiFi symbol disappears (and VPN never comes up...)
  3. Disconnect from VPN (toggle button off)
  4. WiFi symbol reappears

Rebooting the iPhone does not help.

I remember we had this issue sometime before? i.e. issue #258 could this have gotten unfixed somehow?

App version: 2.2.3 (1504) Server: vpn-next.tuxed.net

It was actually a server problem... it couldn't connect to VPN. It is weird Apple makes the WiFi symbol disappear during a VPN connection attempt!
