VPN logo in iOS menubar #450

I'm curious why isn't the VPN logo visible in the iOS menubar when you are connected? The built-in Apple VPN works like this as do other 3rd party VPNs. The only way I've seen an active VPN connection is when you open Control Center. This has lead to numerous users leaving the VPN running whilst watching Netflix, etc.

@sikosis: I apologise for not following this up earlier.

iOS is always supposed to show the VPN logo in the menubar when VPN is connected. It's handled by iOS and our app has no control over that.

Do you still see this issue? Does it always happen or sometimes?
