Laravel 4.2 and composer = incompatibility

Installing via composer causes the following error in Laravel 4.2 Problem 1

Installation request for edvinaskrucas/notification 4.* -> satisfiable by edvinaskrucas/notification[4.0.0].
edvinaskrucas/notification 4.0.0 requires illuminate/support 5.* -> no matching package found.

Version 4 and up uses Laravel 5, for laravel 4.2 use 3.*

well than this should be documented in the Readme.md since it still says: Notification package for Laravel4
