The GPL Font Exception is specifically designed for fonts, using this license will making your fonts freely under this license if anyone use your fonts under his/her purpose under GPL license. This license can be used along with OFL, you can see what Aleksendr Andreev does anyway here.

I believe the OFL would be much better than GPL, because the OFL is written specifically for the nature of fonts, and there is now a huge commons of OFL work that is not compatible with any other license.
