Done from a branch in which I merged #25 #26 #27

Yesterday I finally tried to upload a new version to CRAN, but found out CRAN is not accepting updates until August 18. Will do so the 18th.

Sounds good. Will you merge all this into master here in the meantime? I realize I have that power now and may very well do so, unless you have a reason to hold off.
