See the section Phantom registration in: http://perk-software.cs.queensu.ca/plus/doc/nightly/user/AlgorithmTemporalCalibration.html

NOTES:

  1. Do not connect the grabber before launching the fCal application. If it is connected before launching fCal, a small screen in shown in fCal after opening, and this causes the acquision of images.
  2. Make sure that the "VirtualMixer" has been configured to tack the "TrackerStream" and the "VideoStream".

Simulation steps:

  1. Click "Start"
  2. Start moving the tracked ultrasound transducer up-and-down with a periodic motion along a line, while imaging the bottom of the water tank (see more details at Temporal calibration). Make sure that the periodic motion pattern starts before the startup timer is elapsed.
  3. Continue the periodic motion until the calibration completes.
  4. Click "Show plots" to verify that the motion was periodic and after time offset compensation the position signals are aligned accurately.

Check the region of interest. This can be done using the option in spatial calibration. This has to be specified in the section "vtkTemporalCalibrationAlgo".

The calibration was performed, but no lag was found.
