Transistor Schematics of Cells #24

Hello and thank you for this resource! I often use SKY130 for teaching examples in my classes.

Sometimes I want to show the transistor schematics of cells, but I don't see transistor schematics anywhere, only .spice and .tsv files. Is there a schematic of these cells anywhere?

If there is no source of transistor schematics, I would like to begin organizing a set of schematics, probably generated using Xcircuit. Does anyone have opinions about this?

Thanks!

I would welcome a development effort to create schematics of the standard cell libraries. The original proprietary PDK had schematics in Cadence cell views which could not be transferred to the open source PDK.

Of course I like xcircuit for obvious reasons, but the most complete support by far in the PDK is for xschem, so I recommend using that (xschem's text file format is easy enough to write a conversion script for to go to and from xcircuit, which I will do one day if I ever get around to it).

I suggest getting on the open-source-silicon slack workspace #xschem channel and asking if anyone has done any work converting the standard cells to schematics. @d-mitch-bailey has done some schematics in xschem for the I/O library, and may have done some for the digital standard cells. I'm not aware of any systematic effort to work up a full set of schematics, but it's best to ask around and avoid duplicating any ongoing effort.
