Issues with IE 8 #40

I've heard there are issues with IE 8 - I've never tested IE because it's shit, but I suppose we should look into this.

What "issues". Going to mark as will not fix unless someone has a copy of IE8 to test with. IE8 isn't EOL till 2020 so our site should work with it :(

is it because we are missing html5 shim?

That would make sense, but I thought it was activated. The report said something along the lines of it coming up in mobile display mode and being unresponsive - but this will require investigation.

I'll install IE Tester and try to debug things for IE over the weekend. It's something that needs to be done anyway.
