Why not use GOs in pfam database? #305

Hi,

I found that I can extract some new GO terms from pfam database,

for example, in eggnog-mapper result table, TPR_8 can be found in PFAM column, and TPR_8 match go:0005515 in pfam metadatas, but go:0005515 can not be found in the same row in eggnog-mapper result table some times. Do you know why?

Best, Kun

Hi,

to be honest I do not why. I guess the original protein from which the GO annotation was retrieved didn't have go:0005515 annotated.

Is not a bad idea to use those GOs also.

Best, Carlos
