figure out compile issues #23

as reported by @arcuri82 in https://github.com/egonw/bacting/issues/11. At this moment I cannot reproduce the failing to compile because of the missing JavaDoc (see also https://github.com/egonw/bacting/issues/22).

I updated the README to not create JavaDoc during compilation, added instructions on how to generate the JavaDoc, and fixed all warnings reported during compilation (in devel/0.0.16).
