Maybe 9m can leave URL's shorter than 8 characters just as they are. Not a real issue, anyway. If an URL is less than 8 characters long, there is no interest in shorten it more.

link, but if people want to “shorten” an even more ridiculously short URL, I'll say let them. :smile:
Part of the experience is the unicode fun! It would be rude to deprive people with shorter URLs a chance of unico(rn)de glory.
Same goes for any url shorter than 8 characters.
