Can it have ability to split AAC files (m4a, aac, 3gp, mp4) ADTS and LATM frames? It'd be a nice addition.

Hello,

thank you for the request.

Current libmp3splt in subversion has a plugin support for audio formats. 'mp3' and 'ogg' are currently implemented. AAC suuport can be created as a 'aac' plugin.

Unfortunately, few people code for the mp3splt project at this moment and this request is not a priority. However, any contribution is welcome.

Hello Alex,

I noticed a few Windows cutting tools like mp3directcut or besplit have gained aac support over the last year. Did you have the time to add support in mp3splt?

Hello, I am sorry but I don't have much time and I don't plan to implement AAC soon.

GPAC/MP4Box supports that and is FOSS. An all-in-one tool for all major formats would be nice, though.

For the moment I don't know if this is done with or without decoding. I will have to take a closer look.
