Tests don't run after copying to laptop

I recently copied the project to my laptop, and tests aren't running.

• [x] Try from a clone, of current dev branch.
• [x] If clone works, compare clone repo to copied repo. What's missing?
• [ ] Work from clone?

Ah, I had pytest installed system-wide, and it was using that version of pytest instead of the venv version.
