I think the documentation currently consists of just the main readme file, and these issues. A number of issues, both open and closed, would be better recorded as todos or documentation of specific parts of the project.
All issues should be actionable, and should contain specific needs that collaborators can start to address.
Action: Create a "docs" directory, and create some md files to record ideas that aren't currently actionable issues.
