Update the project infrastructure #7

I haven't touched this project in 5 months, and haven't updated anything since before that. Update the overall project infrastructure before resuming feature development. It might be helpful to do some of the simplification work before taking this work on.

[x] Write a basic test before doing this?
[x] Update server. (no, going to build a new server and destroy old one once people are using new site)
[x] Update Django version.
[x] Update all dependencies.

Basic tests

I don't want to spend much more time on alpha, but starting a couple tests right now will make it easier to write some tests in beta.

[x] Install django-pytest.
[x] Document initial approach to testing.
[x] Test anonymous index page.
[x] Test authenticated index page for a regular user.
[x] Test authenticated index page for an admin user.
[x] Merge, push, delete local branch.

Update all dependencies

[x] new branch
[x] remove all versions from requirements.txt
[x] destroy venv
[x] new env
[x] install
[x] rerun all terminal tabs
[x] restart project
[x] refresh data
[x] flush db
[x] run tests
[x] invite a user, and accept invitation
[x] merge, push, delete branch
