Sorry for late answer, my fault not seeing there are more open issues.
Does the xoom has the requires USB host?
Do you get a dialog with application list that supported the connected USB
camera when you connect and turn on your camera?

when I run the app USB HOST Controller I receive a message such as S3C USBhost
driver not found Root hub present, UBS host mode is active!
Question: do I need a driver for android????
When I launch the dslrdashboard in the upper part of the screen says "connected
DSLR" even when nothing is connected yet. Then i plug the cable to the camera
and the xoom, turn the camera on, nothing happens. click on "search for usb
camera" and nothing happens.....what to do ?!?!

If there is no dialog then it means your Android does not have the USB API or
no USB host support.
According a Google search a hack is required to enable the USB host function on
the Xoom.
