Although the logs are rotated weekly, they are stored in the journal folder (/var/log/journal).
I modified the /etc/systemd/journald.conf file and set
SystemMaxUse=100M
which might be a little too short.
This command is required for the change to take effect.
: deadhead@deadstreamv3:/var/log ; sudo service systemd-journald restart
