Description

This project is a proof of concept for Eiffel events working together with CDEvents(https://cdevents.dev/). The PoC enables interoperability between different CI/CD projects/tools like Tekton, Keptn, Spinnaker using CDEvents and Jenkins using Eiffel events.

While this repository contents would initially be a proof of concept, perhaps it'll evolve into something else later on. Perhaps the name should reflect what the code does rather than its initial state? That could same us some confusion and eventual repository renaming.

Thanks for the comment @magnusbaeck I will keep this as "eiffel-cdevents" and keep the PoC as the project inside this repo, hope that is fine.

I'm in favor of this new project, but I'm not really aligned on the naming proposed. The project will be a demo ground for PoCs integrating Eiffel with CDEvents. It might evolve into more than one PoC eventually, so maybe "poc" isn't the best name. What additional tools it brings in will certainly change over time, if new tools will start supporting CDEvents. It will anyway most likely not be any code in here aimed at being delivered anywhere else than for demo purposes.

So, maybe a better name for the project would be "eiffel-cdevents-demo" or "eiffel-cdevents-demoground"?

Or, if we will eventually have more demo repos in the community, it could make sense to group them by a common prefix, so "eiffel-demo-cdevents" is my current final suggestion on the name.
