Hi @eikek , hi everyone

I have almost completed writing down a step-by-step howto for users who want to install without docker.

Would be great if you have a look. It's the first time I publish something on github so honestly I have no idea how to make it available here.

Let me know what you think and how to proceed :) I will finish it within the next few days.

cheers André

Oh so nice, looks amazing!

There are some options to make it more visible. First, I pinned this issue, which makes it visible on the first part of the issue page. Then I think we can add a link into the documentation somewhere - maybe you find a good place? You could also contribute this text as a new documentation page (then it's inside this repo) or maybe use a "blog page". I don't have a preference, whatever fits best for you.

I have added a section to set up scheduled database backups and added a nginx configuration example. I'll try to keep it updated. Maybe you can add a link in the under Installation on docspell.org, with a name indication a bare metal / KVM install?

I added a link directly under the "Using deb files" headline: https://docspell.org/docs/install/download-run/#using-deb-files.

Hello,

I have created an installation script to install docspell without Docker. Maybe this is helpful. The Script you find here
