Why don't merge SNES and NES emulators? #553

Describe the enhancement desired or suggested change:
I see both emulators are developed by the same people. 
Also outlook of emulators are pretty much the same.
So, only need to put two engines together.

Why it hasn't been done yet?

a) too much work for too little gain
b) not enough memory
