OK/Cancel buttons need to be reversed #598

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Push Home button (while playing any game)
2.Select Main Menu
3.Highlight color around OK/Cancel need to be reversed

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Highlighting & Selecting "Cancel" makes it go to the Main Menu instead of OK,
and highlighting/selecting "OK" makes it go back to the game.

Does this issue occur on SNES9x for Windows 1.52? If so, please report the

I already reversed the color once before due to the confusion. It's staying
as-is now.

You reversed them because it was... "confusing"??? How could doing the opposite
of what you already establish everywhere else in the GUI possibly be less
confusing?

The way it is now, the color of a non-selected button is the same as the
background (yellow) and the highlighted is the opposite (blue). Elsewhere in
the GUI, the background is blue so the non-selected button is also blue - and
the highlight is yellow. This means the button colors are indeed "reversed"
from the rest of the GUI, but so is the window color. The consistency comes
from having the unselected button "blend" with the background, and the
highlight actually being a HIGHLIGHT. either way I'm tired of you people
nit-picking constantly over these minor issues.

LOL Tantric :)

Sorry for posting late, but yes, I know you enhanced the contrast of the
buttons some time ago, but now it feels akwards indeed that the color of the
highlighted button in the dialogs is reversed from the rest of the GUI.

I don't know, maybe adding a surrounding border to the selected button might
help. Just an idea, don't feel like I am asking you to do anything about this :P
