Can not save game

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Running Mother 3 or FF: Tactics Advance (and assuming others)
2. Trying to save either SRAM or Snapshot I initially get "error opening 
directory!" (retrying does not solve) and then"error creating file!"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Well I expect it to save, however, instead it informs me it can not open 
directory and can not create file.

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
Wii, 2.1.6

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
Latest official build, I think? <.<

Please provide any additional information below.
I am running the Emulator and roms off of an SD Card, I have tried doing 
both off of a USB as well.  Also, despite the .SAV files present in the 
/vbagx/saves/ folder, it displays "error opening directory!" then "No saves 
found!"

I resolved it myself.  Seems I hadn't configured the settings.xml for my saves 
folder 
corretly.
