DSI Exception #303

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load VBA-GX from Homebrew channel
2. Attempt to play a game or altogether use the program
3. Watch as it sputters and dies.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected to be able to play Metroid fusion however it threw a DSI Exception

Does this issue occur on VBA-M r781 -

If so, please report the issue to the VBA-M forum.
No, r781 runs stable on all of my computers

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
Wii 4.1U (downgraded from 4.3 with IOS58 installed [tantric installer, the 
irony :P])

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
Official 2.2.1 from the downloads page,

Please provide any additional information below.
I will post a picture of the exact exception when i can get to my Tuner.

also, FCEUltra GX and SNES9x GX seem to be unaffected by this.

... so it magically fixed itself xD, because the only source file i see changed 
from the last August commit is only changing the version.
