Research and user consultation in to updating help documentation

Definitely need better documentation all around, and to consolidate documentation from various sources. We could start by using the Wiki on this GitHub then move it to a website later.

This is stuff i'm doing anyway, to be honest...success of this could be huge with support from users. Are there intellectual property rules or niceties to be observed when using old wikis, etc?

For open source stuff, the documentation is implied to be open as well. If you want to be super cautious you could try and reach out to the original creators, but most Wikis are community things where many people contribute and are generally treated as public domain even if they may not be technically licensed that way. Anyway, no one will come suing us for compiling better documentation :)
