Hi there. I see that the new audiblehero still works although it seems to stop the updates at around 1000 books rather than checking all the books i have downloaded. Many functionalities were lost with the update that made it work again. Namely the ability to hide a book or a series or the current books available in the series (thus leaving it open for future updates but removing clutter more quickly). And the ability to see everything instead of just the very last 100 books. Right now it is still somewhat useable but not the best. You also were talking about using google webcache to check a series for missing books or to check books for missing series. Let me know if you intend to work on this again. Obviously i will send you a donation via paypal like it happened 1 or 2 times in the past. Thanks again for this very useful extension. 👍

Yes, it got slimmed down in order to make it work again. The google webcache was used in earlier versions, but I got some issues with it and had to drop support. Can't remember the details, but got some complaints, some strange errors in different scenarios, nothing I could manage to support, so off it went.

I tried to start hacking again some time ago, but didn't get anywhere. I wanted to move the extension to a popup window, because the whole-page-hack doesn't work very well. In theory it is great, but all the Audible JavaScript runs in the background messing things up. The popup had limitations, so I just failed.

If you have issues I probably should start the project up again, just to make it work better.
I don't use it anymore myself, since I had to re-listen to The Wheel of Time series (because of the upcoming show). I'm on book 8 now, but I have been working on it for almost a year now :P

hey, it's not a job and anything i can get i would be grateful for. Normally at the end of the year i buy all the new stuff, sooo... yeah this is my 2 months notice that i might need it 😂👍💖 But yeah, thanks for making it, even in its unfinished state it's a lot of help.

And yeah, can't complain about the inability to work with google cache, it thought i was a robot too.

I was able to check out and buy some books thanks to this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/audible/comments/dmh1il/updated_tutorialbypass_audible_region_lock/ So i have no clue if this can clue you in on how to tweak the cookies via javascript to sample from multiple possible nations (might be useful to flag books that can only be bought from specific nations)

Also: nah, i prefer the full page thing. It helps me because i can CTRL+click into a new tab.

But I removed it because it would take double as long to scrape for new books. Could have made it optional, decided to remove it. Some series/authors had very very many different languages as well, and in many cases (all?) the only way to buy a another of those books would be to change your credit card location. Quite hacky.
