Target editing GUI not resizable and hides top/bottom buttons. #21

Dear Dr. Fabian Eisenstein and team,

We are very excited to use the PACE-Tomo and wanted to ask for a fix/improvement in the GUI. We are finding it difficult to resize or shrink the Target Selection GUI window, where doing so the graph showing the targets does not shrink in size but instead the buttons at the top and bottom either are distorted or hidden.

Would it be possible to request a fix or feature improvement where in this GUI that the size and shape of these buttons is always preserved to be viewable as the GUI window is stretched or shrunken in size, and make the size of the plot space in the middle of the GUI resizable to accommodate keeping the buttons always viewable.

Alternatively keep all the buttons at either top or bottom could address this issue.

We were finding it was difficult to keep all GUI elements visible at some screen resolutions required when doing a remote display setup and/or when shrinking the GUI and being flexible in the size of the GUI window that could hide or break some of the button elements in this GUI.

Thank you very much,

Matt Larson UW-Madison Cryo-EM Research Center

Hi Matt,

I am glad to hear it and thanks a lot for the suggestion! I agree that the GUI is far from optimal at the moment. I have to admit that this was the first time for me making a GUI. I already have it on my to-do list to overhaul the GUI completely. If you have any more specific suggestions, I am happy to hear them! However, I can't say yet when I will have time to work on it.

Sorry for the inconvenience! Best wishes, Fabian
