Opening this issue to discuss any mud-house related ideas

• Mud houses - Yak dung for building/heating
• Double-paned Windows with wooden frame - does a decent job
• One room converted to a sun-room which also passively heats the sleeping room to use at nights

The principal question that comes into mind is "how to encourage people staying in their mud houses and not replacing them with (or move to) concrete houses". The first thing that comes with big roads is lots of concrete and bank loans.

I'm sure mud house has very important energy aspects that could be highlighted by some sensors. Even to capture data from a small number of houses both concrete and mud-brick and then come up with an energy doctrine which is optimized for that setting. Show both the sustainability aspect and economic aspect.
