get_event_dependencies fails on action statement

ON SCHEDULE
  EVERY 1 DAY
ON COMPLETION PRESERVE
ENABLE
DO
  DELETE FROM sakila.rental WHERE rental_date < DATE(NOW() - INTERVAL 5 YEAR);

call common_schema.get_event_dependencies('sakila', 'purge_history');

-- What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I get:

| error                          |
+--------------------------------+
| Error: unexpected state delete |
+--------------------------------+
