It should be T5>T4 yep. I've never seen it do it out of order ... unless there are SCs happening at a pace that causes it to trigger so fast it ignores some casts. This is something I've seen before but typically only in alliance content where 10 melee dds are all fighting different mobs at once. If you could turn on debug mode and/or set it to show spell selection to provide a touch more info. If this is a new bug emerging only in Ody or Sortie under some weird set of circumstances I can take a peek at fixing it. Depending on how hard the fix ends up. I'm not actually playing for the season. I take winters off while I'm out on the mountain teaching. I just don't have time/motivation to play FFXI from Nov/Dec~Mar/Apr. I will look at code though for fixes and such if they're doable without me having to login.
Sorry for the delay, took awhile to find time to head back out to WKR.
This is what the geo (set to tier 5 spell and double burst) shows when bursting:
vs what the blm shows (set to tier 6 spell and double burst):
Ok, yeah that def looks like a timing bug as it selected Stone V first but then failed to actually cast it before finding and casting Stone IV.
I'll look into that when I have some time again.
If you also wouldn't mind sharing the results of a //amb status
for me. If it's something I can sort out w/o actually having to reactivate an account I'll likely do it before winter's over.
Kind of an odd behavior I'm experiencing when bursting Tier 5s. Relevant settings are:
Magic Burst Type: spell: Tier 5 Double Burst: on Stepdown: 2 (always)
With these settings, it bursts a Tier 4 first, then a Tier 5 to follow. If I set the Tier to 6, it bursts a Tier 6, followed by a Tier 5 as expected.
Something goofy with the Tier 5 setting? Shouldn't it be casting a Tier 5, then a Tier 4 and not the other way around?
Looking forward to the -aja to Tier 5/6 double nukes!
