No events are being recorded in Rails.

No events are being recorded and no error message shows.

• The plugin is registered.
• The queues and stats are registered and logged but the events do not show up in NewRelic.
• I see a notification that a new version of the plugin is available, but the link takes me to the current version I'm already using.

Please see the screenshots and code samples below for context. It looks like there's an issue with report_metric which inherits from the newrelic_plugin gem.
