Hi Cybergene,
Have you considered making a kickstarter for this project? While still preserving its DIY status, it would be greatly simplified for people interested into it if we could "buy" a kit, with all the PCB produced, and most if not all of the soldering made, and most if not all the electronics parts included.
Myself, rather than having to find somebody who can make the PCBs for me, and then finding and ordering all the materials, and then soldering everything during my spare time, I'd rather pay somebody for doing that. Even finding somebody doing that locally where I live now, while possible, is lots of time and effort which I don't have (and would be removed from the mechanical setup of the action, trivets regulation, etc)
Just to be clear, I am not saying that you should do this work yourself! I can see from the pictures that you must have used an industrial-quality company for producing the PCBs. Could they make a larger batch and then ship them to different customers, worldwide? How about procuring the electronics parts and soldering, can they do that? When I was living in Rome the PCB company I worked with offered all these services, even with surface soldering (which is much more complicated)... so it should not be a big deal if you are already a customer and they offer it. Perhaps they have a minimum order to make it viable for them, and here is where kickstarter could help: if you do not reach such minimum size, nothing happens, otherwise the order is placed. As far as I am concerned, you can charge (in the price of the kit) for your time, effort and hassle, especially if they do not offer the shipping part...
